COLOMBIA WINS 37TH MISS INTERCONTINENTAL FINALE IN POLAND
The 23 year old Cristina Carmago from Colombia won the 2008 MISS INTERCONTINENTAL Final.
57 delegates from all over the World have been traveling through Poland since October 6th and performed in the night of 25th October in the Musical Dom in Zarbse (Poland). During the Live Telecast group´s such as BONEY M, Smokey and Danzel have been presenting their Songs.
The show was produced by the polish organization and Polsat Channel 4. Cristina will be offered an extensive travel opportunity as well a Management Contract with WBO.

The 2008 Miss Intercontinental Beauty Pageant will take place on Saturday, 25th of October 2008, in the Music and Festivaldom in Zabrze, Dom Muzyki i Tańca Poland .
This night, up to 60 of the world`s most attractive women will compete for the most expensive crown (330,000 USD) in the field of beauty pageants - the Miss Intercontinental crown. The spectacular venue have seen the biggest stars of the world from Jazz, Pop and Rock.
The MISS INTERCONTINENTAL 2008-Pageant will start on October 7th until 26th and will bring countries closer together and will give an opportunity to share universal values and define together a common ideal of elegance and beauty. The city of Zabrze will be the official sponsor and host city.
Zabrze is a modern business city which his centre and a part of the Upper Silesian Metropolitan Union, has the largest urban entity in Poland with a population of over 2 million people. Take a walk down its streets and you will see evidence of 19th century, industrial buildings mixed together with modern constructions.
Zabrze is a city which existed over 700 years and visitors will be amazed by its beautifully preserved and restored industrial monuments: coal-mines, ironworks, residences. Zabrze is rich in monuments and ecclesiastic buildings, enough diversity to satisfy most visitors. There are many different architectural styles to be seen in the city.
The 2008 final will take place in the striking venue of the modern Music and Festivaldom, a magical place that many a time dazzled the spectators with concerts and events of international stars from Bon Jovi over Tom Jones to the London Philharmonic Orchestra.
