Over 50 world beauty have arrived in Nassau, the capital of Bahamas, commercial and cultural center of the archipelago to dispute the most wanted title of Miss Intercontinental 2006, competition that has already arrived at the 35 edition and has started from Aruba. Another dream land where the first five editions had been fought over. Besides, most of the beauty contests take place in the most exotic places on earth, `dream destinations` which aside from bringing fabulous winnings from tourism, by hosting this sort of events , they absorbingly transport themselves into everyone`s attention. The same thing is intended by the German Detlef Tursies, owner and promoter of the Miss Intercontinental, Mister Intercontinental & Top Model of the World arrived at its 14 edition. Last year, Romania seduced the audience with the participation of the twins Andrada and Laura Florincuta from Oradea at the MISS INTERCONTINENTAL world final in China (HuangShan, at the feet of yellow mountain, an UNESCO`s patrimony). Even now the organizers still remember of that unusual presence for a Miss contest whose title was to be adjudicated by the beautiful Emmarys Pinto (19 years) from Caracas, Venezuela, present in Bahamas in order to handle the crown to the winner. After she had won, an year full of realizations followed in the modeling domain, worldwide travels and contracts at all to be neglected. She took part in the Miss Germany and Miss Venezuela juries and she has recently signed a substantial contract for the Mercedes company. The winner of the MISTER INTERCONTINENTAL 2005 edition Enrique Cuevas is also from Venezuela, surnamed at all desultory `home of the beauty contests`. Either way, each of the 52 finalists of the MISS INTERCONTINENTAL 2006, amongst who we can also count the Romanian representative Roxana Curelea, wish for the crown and thus they are making substantial efforts. Roxana is one of the most admired presences and this, not only for her beauty. She speaks perfectly English she has done extremely well at the photo shoots and at the interviews with the jury members and made herself remarked by her clothes, being one of the few contestants who are wearing garments created by well known designers. We are talking about Ana Zdravcu, (Heliotrop Fashion House), surnamed the `queen of overcoats`, who has created for Roxana some vestments, and also the night dress and the national costume. The Romanian representative had posed exactly before departure in the store from the inside of the Voaleta Galleries, situated in Bucharest`s old center. All contestants take care of their image, smile and always have pictures done, work hours at a time at rehearsals and are present at all the actions organized with the occasion of this event. It`s natural, if we think that these girls have the chance to rejoice of one of the world`s most beautiful places, Paradise Island, a place reserved almost exclusively to reach people. They are found right in the famous Cable Beach zone, one of the tow dreamful destinations with a beach covered by the most filigree sand, luxurious hotels and the biggest casino in the Caribbean. Besides, on the Rainforest Theatre stage situated indoors of the Crystal Palace Casino will take place at the end of this week MISS INTERCONTINENTAL 2006, an event which monopolized everyone`s attention and of whom, the most important newspapers write: The Nassau Daily and The Nassau Guardian. The girls had an exceptional tourist program, swam with the dolphins, had magnificent ocean cruises, visited important commercial centers and were guests of honour at receptions and cocktails at the ocean`s shores. We all remained amazed by the famous Atlantis Hotel, the greatest, most exclusive and luxurious settlement in the zone, where restaurants bellow sea level offer a phenomenal panorama with thousands of species of fish and multicolored corals. Here, the cost of a room starts at 700 USD a night and can reach 25 000 USD. The one who inaugurated this suspended apartment above water, between the hotel`s two towers which inaugurated a city with a port, stores, bars, jazz clubs, was Michael Jackson. For those who wish just to see the hotel the entrance fee is 30 dollars. Even though this period is considered an extra season and the hotels are working at half of their potential, the superb hotel Atlantis is full. But about the history, the legends woven around it to increase its celebrity, about swimming with dolphins, about the visited places, about the Pirates of the Caribbean lead by the famous Blackbird, who accosted here or about the Miss INTERCONTINENTAL 2006, all very beautiful we shall speak of next time.
